The Snake's Tales

Marguerite W. Davol

Welcome to the website of Marguerite W. Davol. I am a children's book author and storyteller. Writing books and storytelling go hand-in-hand and most of my books evolved from tales I first created to tell to groups.

In my books you will meet a snake rolling along like a doughnut and instead of hissing, says, "Hup, Hup, Hup." In another book, a snake is the world's first storyteller. Snakes are fascinating creatures. You can tell I like snakes! Find out how ugly, noisy butterflies became the beautiful creatures we know today and how bats helped to create the stars. I like bats and butterflies, too. Read the tall tale about a born drummer who saves her town with her drumming and about a little girl who celebrates her mixed-marriage family. In my best-known book, an original folk tale set in China, discover what an artist uses to overcome a fierce dragon.
